The simple answer is yes. The more the merrier. However if you are the holder of a probationary license you may need to review the conditions and any restrictions of your license. The cost for adding a pillion is minimal. With the multi-day tour this cost is based on your pillion sharing your room.

Prior to departure all riders are strongly encouraged to obtain current personal medical/travel insurance which specifically includes riding a motorcycle.

All riders and pillions will also be required to sign an indemnity document prior to travel.

Please also see the Nitty Gritty section on the Home page.

All riders of our Moto Guzzi motorcycles must produce a current Australian unrestricted motorcycle license (our Moto Guzzis are not LAMS approved) – or for travellers, the equivalent in their country of origin supplemented by a current International Driving Permit. Please note that photocopies cannot be accepted.

All riders of our Royal Enfield motorcycles must produce a current Australian motorcycle license (probationary license with two years riding experience is acceptable) – or for travellers, the equivalent in their country of origin supplemented by a current International Driving Permit. Please note that photocopies cannot be accepted.

The half-day tour does not include food, but we do stop at a café for a proper barista made coffee.

The one-day tour includes the morning coffee and lunch. The lunch is taken at a tavern and you will be given a wide choice of meal and a soft drink (we don’t drink and ride).

The multi-day tours also include the mid-morning café break and lunch. The lunch will be at an appropriate standard of café/restaurant or tavern – depending on the location.

Unlike some other tour operators we will not require that you camp or stay in cabins or hostels. We have done our research and are staying in some of the best accommodation in each region. Each rider will have their own room (unless sharing with their pillion).

For the half-day and one-day trips you don’t really need to pack anything – just wear appropriate clothing. For the multi-day trips each bike is fitted with panniers which will allow you to carry basic toiletries and some clothes to change. You may also want to bring something to swim in. Out hotels will supply the usual soaps, shampoos, towels and the like.

Proper motorcycle riding gear is always preferable, however we understand that some customers may not have some of this clothing with them, and as such you should ride in long durable pants, enclosed footwear (boots preferred), a durable jacket with underneath clothing suitable to the conditions, and gloves. We can provide a helmet of you don’t have your own. We will also carry wet weather gear if it is needed.
